About me

When I began my undergrad studies I was accepted for a major in music performance with a specialization in orchestral percussion and secondary study on the piano. During my undergrad I performed with musicians in various styles of music including, funk, rock, reggae, ska, punk, metal, blues, and soul.

In 2015 I began my career as an educator. Several years later, I decided to work towards a masters in the art of teaching. When I learned that my admission would be deferred to the following year I was invited to apply for the Global Leaders Program, now called the Global Leaders Institute. It was an international institute that focuses on the use of music and the arts for social innovation.

In my late adolescence, I grew a passion for the great outdoors and backpacking across the country. I have lived in five states across the country and always explored the nature in each state. In 2021, I became a field guide for a wilderness therapy program where I gained expertise in navigation, animal tracking, and surviving in the wilderness. When I moved to New York two years ago, I worked at a forest school and led hikes for school children. During the summer, I worked as a trip leader for the Nature Place Day Camp.

Developing Minds for a Passion to Explore.

I meet students where they are mentally and emotionally and investigate how they learn and develop naturally. In this way, I stay informed about how I can communicate effectively with students.

What Services I'm Providing

I provide music education, tutoring, and scheduled outdoor tours.

Music Education

Pick you favorite rock instrument, sign up and learn how to make-music your own way. Included is a well rounded education in music expression, reading, theory, and composition. Students will learn at their own pace.

Tutoring Services

Education is hard until you find the one discovery that puts everything else into perspective. I offer tutoring in History, Science, Mathematics, Reading, Writing, and American Civics.

Outdoor Tours

Want to stay connected to and learn about the natural world? Schedule a day to explore sections of the Appalachian mountain range or one of the numerous parks in New York.
